Jesus Christ loves you and I… so much, that He will destroy us with God’s wrath on sin if we don’t let Him be Lord of our life reconciling us with God The Father.
If we invite and accept Jesus Christ to be the Lord and Redeemer of our life, we’re no longer sentenced to God’s wrath because the Blood of Jesus Christ at the Cross washed our sins away from us, and washes them if we confess when we cause a mess (we sin) and remain faithful to Him.
The God of Israel is most Holy, Powerful, and Merciful—to not worship Him exclusively, is the darkness of death… because without Him, that’s what’s left.
If God accepted anything less than His Light, then the God of Israel would no longer be all Holy, Powerful, and Merciful.
If we truly love God… would we want anything less than… Him?
Psalm 5 4 For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with thee.
Ezekiel 7 27 The king shall mourn, and the prince shall be clothed with desolation, and the hands of the people of the land shall be troubled: I will do unto them after their way, and according to their deserts will I judge them; and they shall know that I am the Lord.
Hebrews 10 26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.28 He that despised Moses’ law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
Isaiah 54 17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.
Romans 10 3 For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. 4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.
1 Corinthians 1 29 That no flesh should glory in his presence.30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:31 That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.
I posted… then later read… Righteousness; What God Requires, He Also Provides…Romans. The blog says what was on my heart for the last couple of days, which some teaching from Pastor Bill on Isaiah 53-54 inspired. Both posts point to Jesus Christ as our Savior.
