The Bear Market

The bear market…

The example below of our current stock market compared to gold is kind of like the “other or true Gold”… faith in Jesus Christ.

What do I mean?

The world is in a “bear market” in relation to true wealth… even though they think their getting their “utopia”.  In other words, the “fruit of the Holy Spirit” is becoming, and will become, more scarce as dishonesty, wickedness, and darkness increases (Matthew 24:11-13).  The world is getting what it loves… but will end up hating what it gets.

This makes our trust in Jesus Christ … to have the Holy Spirit flourishing and growing in our heart…. more valuable.

Why?

Only the power and grace of Jesus Christ… the Holy Spirit in us… will saves us from God’s wrath coming on the world… this current earth.  The “Light shining on a hill” is the only hope for those seeking an answer in the chaos increasingly raging throughout the world.

The Gospel of the Kingdom of God starts with finding Salvation through the Cross of Jesus Christ—He shed His Blood… died and was resurrected to be ascended as the once-and-for-all atonement sacrifice for the forgiveness of our sins.  If we repent and have our sins (which we all have) washed clean by His Blood, we can enter into His Kingdom.

The words of Proverbs come into more focus as the days get darker—God’s Wisdom is Life giving and Saving… nothing else in this world will rescue us.  If we hate the fake deceptive riches by the strength of man that the world values, we’ll end up loving what we get—“the other Gold” tried by fire… the Life of Jesus Christ… the Holy Spirit in our heart.

Proverbs 3 13 Happy is the man that findeth wisdom [the Wisdom from God], and the man that getteth understanding.14 For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold.15 She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her.

Proverbs 8 18 Riches and honour are with me [the Wisdom of God]; yea, durable riches and righteousness.19 My fruit is better than gold, yea, than fine gold; and my revenue than choice silver.20 I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment:

The world attempts to devalue “the other true Gold” by deceiving others to trust in man whose flesh is withering away to the grave.  However… there’s only One who has the last word—He will ride to victory… He’s the only way for us to reach victory, also.

Psalm 2 Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? 2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord, and against his anointed, saying,3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.5Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.

Stocks Are in a Silent and Insidious
Bear Market

Today, one share of the Dow will buy only 14.5 ounces of gold. That’s down from 42 ounces back in August 1999. In other words, since 1999, the Dow has lost 65% of its value in terms of real money – gold.

Talk about a silent and insidious bear market.

Why is this bear market taking so much longer to play out than previous bear markets? And how can the Dow still be near all-time highs in nominal terms if it’s in a bear market?

The bear market is being prolonged by aggressive intervention from governments and central banks from all around the world.

They have chosen the soft landing approach: to do whatever it takes to prevent the bear market from doing its work… and to prevent the Dow-to-Gold ratio returning to single digits.

My guess is, in the end, these efforts will all be in vain.
