There’s Giants

Will He?

David answered… yes.

1 Samuel 17: 45 Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied.46 This day will the Lord deliver thee into mine hand; and I will smite thee, and take thine head from thee; and I will give the carcases of the host of the Philistines this day unto the fowls of the air, and to the wild beasts of the earth; that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel.47 And all this assembly shall know that the Lord saveth not with sword and spear: for the battle is the Lord’s, and he will give you into our hands.

So did Joshua and Caleb.

Numbers 13;14:33 And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight…                                                  And Joshua the son of Nun, and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, which were of them that searched the land, rent their clothes:And they spake unto all the company of the children of Israel, saying, The land, which we passed through to search it, is an exceeding good land.If the Lord delight in us, then he will bring us into this land, and give it us; a land which floweth with milk and honey.Only rebel not ye against the Lord, neither fear ye the people of the land; for they are bread for us: their defence is departed from them, and the Lord is with us: fear them not.

They believed the God of Israel would fight and defeat the giants they faced.

Will God fight the “giants” for His faithful followers, today… that we’ll ultimately come out victorious over them?

Will He provide our food, water, clothing, and shelter throughout our desert journey… that’s becoming hotter and drier with the current “madness” (Deuteronomy 29:5-6; Matthew 6:20-34; Hebrews 3)?

Jeremiah 32:27 Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?

Hebrews 13:Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

Will He fulfill the promises to Abraham… redeem and restore the remnant of Israel with the promises of the New Covenant… that the Saints will be raised from the grave to be in His presence, His Household, forever?

Hebrews 11:14 For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country.15 And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned. 16 But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.

We all will make a choice of who to trust.  What will be yours?
