Strange Fire

This is not for the sole-purpose of singling out a particular person or group, but to look at similar beliefs these people hold as to their legitimacy.

2 Timothy 3:13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived [Isaiah 47:9-15].

Some points of discussion…

It appears the saints do, and will, judge.

1 Corinthians 6:2 Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?3 Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?

Is the Truth learned and practiced today in preparation for tomorrow to… execute the judgment of truth and peace in your gates?

Zechariah 8:3 Thus saith the Lord; I am returned unto Zion, and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and Jerusalem shall be called a city of truth; and the mountain of the Lord of hosts the holy mountain.                        15 So again have I thought in these days to do well unto Jerusalem and to the house of Judah: fear ye not.16 These are the things that ye shall do; Speak ye every man the truth to his neighbour; execute the judgment of truth and peace in your gates [Ephesians 4:25]:17 And let none of you imagine evil in your hearts against his neighbour; and love no false oath: for all these are things that I hate, saith the Lord.

In context of judging in Truth, in the city of Truth, are the distortions and “mystical” signs and wonders harmless?

Revelation 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

Do the mystical and warped beliefs spring from the root of… worshiping another “christ”?  This “jesus” is not as Jesus Christ describes Himself in His Word, the Holy Bible.

The Bible proclaims Jesus Christ as fully God and fully man who did accomplish and complete forgiveness of sin at the Cross… that He did not need descend into hell to be tormented with the condemned to accomplish atonement for mankind.

Did not Jesus tell the repentant condemned criminal beside Him… today you shall be with me in paradise?  Did He mean tomorrow… in three days… in many days?  Was paradise where Abraham and Lazarus were in the underworld… not the place of torment where the condemned, the rich man, are (Luke 16:19-31) [Strong’s G3857 – paradeisos]?

Luke 23:40 But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation?41 And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss.42 And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise.

It is finished… was declared by Jesus before He went to the underworld.

John 19:30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.

Did Jesus die on the preparation day… what He referred to as, today… before the start (sunset) of tomorrow, the Sabbath (remember, the Jewish day starts at sunset and ends at sunset)?

Matthew 27:45 Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour.46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?47 Some of them that stood there, when they heard that, said, This man calleth for Elias.48 And straightway one of them ran, and took a spunge, and filled it with vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him to drink.49 The rest said, Let be, let us see whether Elias will come to save him.50 Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.

Mark 15:37 And Jesus cried with a loud voice, and gave up the ghost.38 And the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom.                    42 And now when the even was come, because it was the preparation, that is, the day before the Sabbath, [John 19:31-42; Mark 16:1-4]

And, where did Jesus Christ go after He gave up the ghost?

Ephesians 4:But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.(Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?10 He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.) [Isaiah 61:1-3; Luke 4:17-19]

You do the “math”… which captives were released… who came out of their graves after Jesus Christ yielded up His Spirit?  Were they not the Saints?  Were the condemned… the rich man… seen walking around the holy city?  They’re not mentioned.

Matthew 27:50 Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.51 And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;52 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,53 And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.

Jesus Christ preached deliverance to, and released, the captives… along with the other evidence we read… which side of the “underworld” did He go to?  As we read in the account of Lazarus and the rich man, there’s a great chasm that separates the two… one can’t cross over to the other side.

Also, if Jesus went to the place of the condemned, would direct access to God have been “opened up”?  In other words… could a condemned and sinful “savior” open up the door to the Father God’s Throne in Heaven?  Worldly religions believe so—they accredit this power to their human intercessors, leaders, and priests… ultimately any human as being their own god.

Jesus took on our condemnation at the Cross… but, by His own actions, did He ever sin warranting condemnation?  When He said… it is finished… did He mean it was… the atonement sacrifice “payment” for our sin was completed?

When Jesus died, the veil to the Most Holy Place, the second tabernacle, was ripped open allowing us to approach God.  Previously to this happening, only the acting High Priest of Israel could enter once a year into the Holy of holies, where the presence of God was, to make atonement for sins.  Anyone else, or at any other time… they would have died.  And, he had to do it every year.

On the Cross, Jesus said He was going to paradise… He died… the veil ripped open… then many Saints walked about on earth.  Are not these descriptions and acts of… redemption? Would He go to the condemned dead… if there’s no hope for them to be redeemed?

Does consistent evidence support… Jesus released those who died in fear of the Lord?

To worship another “christ”… does not one become involved in spiritual prostitution… perverting the heart and mind leading to their destruction?  Does not the slide into the spiritual abyss of death start with… the works of the flesh of adultery or fornication… embracing the “strange” woman?  Is… strange fire and incense… worshiping God in a way He loathes, any different?  Are these attempts to justify self-righteousness, that man is a god, through the occult, mysticism, consulting the dead (necromancy), and idolatry (Galatians 5:19-21; Proverbs 2:11-19; 5:2-4; Proverbs 7; 23:26-35; Leviticus 10:1-2; Numbers 3:4; Jeremiah 44:15-22; 2 John 1:9-11)?

Numbers 33:51 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye are passed over Jordan into the land of Canaan;52 Then ye shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you, and destroy all their pictures, and destroy all their molten images, and quite pluck down all their high places:53 And ye shall dispossess the inhabitants of the land, and dwell therein: for I have given you the land to possess it.                      55 But if ye will not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you; then it shall come to pass, that those which ye let remain of them shall be pricks in your eyes, and thorns in your sides, and shall vex you in the land wherein ye dwell.56 Moreover it shall come to pass, that I shall do unto you, as I thought to do unto them.

True Love… which according to the first Law of Spirit given to us by Jesus Christ, means worshiping the only True God, the God of Israel, as He declares to be worshipped… in Spirit and Truth.  This faith, commitment, and loyalty fuels growth into Life Eternal in the age-to-come (Matthew 22:37-40; Galatians 5:14-18, 22-26; John 4:22-24).

1 Samuel 15:22 And Samuel said, Hath the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.23 For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the Lord, he hath also rejected thee from being king.24 And Saul said unto Samuel, I have sinned: for I have transgressed the commandment of the Lord, and thy words: because I feared the people, and obeyed their voice.

Jesus Christ… His, it is finished sacrifice at the Cross… is a sweet aroma acceptable to the Father God for us.  This is not strange fire and incense (Hebrews 10:12-14; Ephesians 5:1-2; Romans 12:1-3; 1 Peter 2:4-6; Revelation 8:2-4).

With the battle we face… deception, error, and the mystical signs and wonders… just like poison… will kill us if we can’t see them to neutralize them.

Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

2 Corinthians 11:But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.                           13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

The Truth, Jesus Christ revealed through God’s written Word, is the counter “anti-venom” to do so.

Ephesians 4:14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:
