Commentary inspired from writing The Family Fortune…

There seems to be a plan of God specific for Spiritual Israel and those that make it through the last days into the Millennium.  I’m not talking about Jews who have, and will, accept Yeshua… the Messiah… before He returns.  All people, Jew and Gentile, who receive Jesus Christ as their Savior before He returns become part of the Body of Christ… His Bride… the Church—they will be resurrected as Saints in the first resurrection.

Reading Ezekiel 40-48… you’ll see that there is a Temple of God where Levitical sacrifices will have to be carried out along with how Israel is to receive the land God promised them.  Are the Temple sacrifices just for the Millennium… or, do they also extend into Eternity… the age of the New Jerusalem?  Right now… I don’t know for sure.

Why does God do this?  It seems it might be because of Israel’s behavior… And he said unto me, Son of man, the place of my throne, and the place of the soles of my feet, where I will dwell in the midst of the children of Israel for ever, and my holy name, shall the house of Israel no more defile, neither they, nor their kings, by their whoredom, nor by the carcases of their kings in their high places. In their setting of their threshold by my thresholds, and their post by my posts, and the wall between me and them, they have even defiled my holy name by their abominations that they have committed: wherefore I have consumed them in mine anger. Now let them put away their whoredom, and the carcases of their kings, far from me, and I will dwell in the midst of them for ever.10 Thou son of man, shew the house to the house of Israel, that they may be ashamed of their iniquities: and let them measure the pattern.11 And if they be ashamed of all that they have done, shew them the form of the house, and the fashion thereof, and the goings out thereof, and the comings in thereof, and all the forms thereof, and all the ordinances thereof, and all the forms thereof, and all the laws thereof: and write it in their sight, that they may keep the whole form thereof, and all the ordinances thereof, and do them (Ezekiel 43:7-11).

How it all fits in the future for Israel… again, I’m not completely sure… 1Thus saith the Lord God; In the first month, in the first day of the month, thou shalt take a young bullock without blemish, and cleanse the sanctuary:19 And the priest shall take of the blood of the sin offering, and put it upon the posts of the house, and upon the four corners of the settle of the altar, and upon the posts of the gate of the inner court.20 And so thou shalt do the seventh day of the month for every one that erreth, and for him that is simple: so shall ye reconcile the house.21 In the first month, in the fourteenth day of the month, ye shall have the passover, a feast of seven days; unleavened bread shall be eaten (Ezekiel 45:18-25).  But, I do know Jesus Christ is our High Priest… the once-and-for-all sacrifice. We rest in Him… His work at the cross—we don’t depend on an animal blood sin sacrifice to reconcile us to God (Hebrews 10:16-23;1 Corinthians 6:10-12; Revelation 1:5-6; 3:17-19; 19:7-9).

Today, in the Church age, what God offers us through the grace of God through Jesus Christ allowing us to become a part of… the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven (Hebrews 12:22-24), is a very rich blessing… indeed!  A blessing that includes…18 But the saints of the most High shall take the kingdom, and possess the kingdom for ever, even for ever and ever…       22 Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the most High; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom (Daniel 7:18,22).  Take advantage of God’s grace while you can still breathe… the light still shines.

How it all gets worked out by God in Eternity for His people, His children, the Saints… I’m not completely sure… thus, where some wondering about comes from.  And… it’s just that… not doctrine.

Some of core Christian doctrine is…

  • God created us… male and female… in His image… through Jesus Christ.
  • Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden… so… we are not without sin.
  • Jesus Christ… the only begotten Son of God… our Creator… was born as a man while also being fully God… to die for the forgiveness of our sins.
  • Jesus Christ is our Savior if… we forsake our sinful life (we repent)… we accept His death at the cross for the forgiveness of our sin… we believe He was resurrected and He ascended into Heaven to sit at the right hand of the Father as the High Priest over the House of God… and, we live obediently… confessing sin when we mess up (we all do)… remaining faithful to God.
  • If we do… we will be resurrected to be with Jesus Christ ultimately living in the New Jerusalem as the Lamb’s Wife.
  • If we reject Jesus Christ for who He is… we’ll experience damnation—the Lake of Fire known as… the second death.

These points stand as doctrine—so… my discussion beyond them is… not necessarily “wandering”… but, “wondering” about.

Like the discussion in Chapter 7, The Promise, of what may take place in Eternity in regards to future generations… is wondering about—it may not apply at all.  The more I study the books of the Prophets of the Old Testament… the more I realize… For now we see through a glass, darkly (1 Corinthians 13:12.)  Through the Holy Spirit, we can see some… more will be revealed as we get closer to Christ’s return… But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased… (Daniel 12:1-4)… but, God is still God… we’re not… we’re limited… we don’t know everything.  And… further our ability to understand seems to be controlled by to what degree we accept God’s Word for what it is… 24 And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given. 25 For he that hath, to him shall be given: and he that hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he hath (Mark 4:1-25).

With this said… we are assured of…

Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away…        13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity (1 Corinthians 13:8,13)

For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love (Ephesians 3:14-17)

For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father. Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone (Ephesians 2:18-20)

But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end…        12 Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.13 But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.14 For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;15 While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation…         18 And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not? 19 So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief (Hebrews 3:6,12…19).

Why study God’s Word to understand and establish doctrine in my heart… and even… wonder about… could it be?

In the process, I’m learning more of what God is thinking… His plan… the heart of God, which brings me more-and-more to the realization… He’s God… I’m not!  And, at the end of the day… it’s being filled with the Holy Spirit [charity Love]… the Life of Christ… the will of God for my life… that matters—the power to say… no… to sin (Hebrews 10:22; Romans 6).  Being prepared for… Eternity.

So… as I continue learn and grow, with my writings and update links on this page, I discuss some of my thoughts during my journey to a Life with Jesus Christ in the New Jerusalem… forever.
